PEACE20 Continues Its Journey in Brazil
PEACE20 continued its global journey in Brazil, bringing together young people to promote peace, dialogue, and tolerance. As part of its ongoing international peace mission, PEACE20 organized a Peace Forum featuring discussions on peace and tolerance, attended by hundreds of participants.
The forum provided a platform for Indonesian youth to share their ideas, perspectives, and hopes for a more peaceful world. Through meaningful dialogue, participants explored the importance of peace, mutual understanding, and respect in building a better future.
Princess Natasha Dematra, one of the founders of PEACE20, said:
“We are proud to see PEACE20 continue its journey in Brazil. What began in Indonesia has now reached different parts of the world, bringing together young people who share the same vision of building a more peaceful future. This demonstrates that peace is a universal language that transcends borders, cultures, and backgrounds.”
She added:
“Young people deserve to have their voices heard. They are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also the architects of world peace today. Through PEACE20, we want to empower the younger generation to speak up, collaborate, and become active contributors to a more peaceful and harmonious world.”
The PEACE20 Forums and Summit were held from September through November 2024, coinciding with the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The series of events formed part of PEACE20’s continuing commitment to strengthening youth participation in advancing peace, tolerance, and sustainable development on the global stage.
Originally launched in Indonesia in 2022 in support of the G20 Indonesian Presidency, PEACE20 has continued to expand internationally, engaging thousands of young people through peace forums, educational programs, cultural initiatives, and collaborative dialogue.
By continuing its journey in Brazil, PEACE20 reaffirmed its vision of amplifying the voices of young people across the G20 and the international community, inspiring future generations to champion peace through action, understanding, and cooperation.
